Here's what I brought to the hospital for my L&D team, and it was such a hit!

I love bringing a fun treat whenever possible and giving birth was no exception! Before I go on, you absolutely do not need to bring anything to your labor & delivery team...this is just fun for me, so I wanted to do it!

I used this basket for my nurses, my doula, and my husband and I also grabbed things from it, as we wanted to. I didn't want to bring a basket full of junk food because I probably would have been the one to eat it all, so I created a basket with a few self-care items and two food items.

I've seen a few gift baskets online that were HUGE and to be honest, that kind of overwhelmed me. I didn't have the time or energy while I was 9 months pregnant to source and arrange a giant basket of goodies. And my husband certainly didn't want to have to carry it into the hospital!

SO I created my basket with those things in mind. You know what else I had in mind? A budget! I wanted to do something sweet for my nurses, but also didn't want to get carried away (that happens!), so I set a $50 budget for myself and stuck to it.

I'm really pleased with how much basket turned out! Even if you wanted to set a $20 budget, choose 1 or 2 of these items or something similar and create a small basket...the gesture is the same, no matter the size, and nurses will appreciate the thought.

Here are the items I included and links to them on Amazon, when possible. I found that sourcing these items was much cheaper on Amazon than running to the store to get them in person, so start early and don't leave this until the last minute if it's something you really want to do.

Here's a link to the IG Reels video showing my basket and how easily it came together.

Self-Care Items

Food Items:

Since my baby waited until a week past her due date to arrive, I definitely struggled to resist the Swedish Fish (lol) and ate a few before we went to the hospital.
