I *love* hosting a good brunch and Easter has always been one of my favorites! Whether you're hosting friends or family this year, these recipes are sure to be crowd pleasers! Some of these I've been making for years, and some were instant hits last year!
As always, don't be afraid to tweak a recipe to your liking. I usually sub fillings/toppings for ingredients that I love, or take out some of the heavy cream, etc. Do what works for you!
I like to have one savory and one sweet homemade dish at brunch events. I'm love a good sweet brunch dish, but I have to get my protein too! ;) Most of these can be made the night before, so you're not rushing around the morning of! Here are a few of my favorites.
This one was an instant hit last year, when I hosted my parents and my in-laws for Easter brunch. We churched, brunched, then played croquet in our front yard - the sweetest day!
Last year's Easter brunch was such a *feast*! This quiche was so good! Normally, if I'm making a sweet dish, I won't do a crust on my quiche or I'll go with a frittata instead, but since it was a special occasion, I went for it! It was a hit! I used black forest ham, bell pepper, cheese, and spinach as my fillings and it was perfection! Now I just eyeball my quiches and breakfast casseroles because they are hard to mess up, but if you're just starting out, following a recipe will be helpful!
It has been a couple of years since I made these, but wow I still remember how good these were! In fact, the reason I haven't made them lately is because my husband is so impatient when it comes to baked goods that he rushed me during the last bake and they didn't cool enough before I iced them, so they were a mess. I can't believe I remember that! Ha! Maybe I can make them again while he's golfing ;)
- Elevated Fruit Salad
Everyone loves a fruit salad (always delish!) but take it up a notch and serve it in individual coupe glasses or a small ramekin to add color to each place setting. If you are serving in glassware, add a sugar rim to the glass to make it extra special. I also love serving miniature yogurt, granola, and fruit parfaits in glassware - so simple, but everyone always loves it!
Honestly, who doesn't love a cinnamon roll?! I certainly do! I've made a variety of cinnamon rolls and orange rolls with a sourdough base, but these are so good and use yeast, so very easy to whip up without a sourdough starter. I love that these can be made the day before then popped in the oven on Easter morning.
Tag me on IG @rhondajenkins and tell me which recipes you're trying this year! I love seeing how they turn out. I just ate dinner, but definitely could have a bedtime snack after compiling this delicious list! ;)
