Fall is here and I can't wait to officially transition my wardrobe and start wearing chunky knits and boots! While I love wearing heavy pieces during fall, we still have some warm days ahead in Dallas, TX, and I love being able to wear one piece (dresses!) to work without having to put too much effort into putting together an outfit the night before.

Dresses have always been my favorite article of clothing (except when I went through my tom-boy phase... it's true!) because they are the easiest way to look put together with as little effort as possible (which is also why I love red lipstick!). I love two-fer dresses like the Alice + Olivia dress I am wearing that look like a skirt and shirt combination but are actually a dress. As I have been taking clothing inventory for fall, I have been looking for dresses that can transition easily from summer to fall with the addition of a jacket or tights to get an extra month of wear out of them.
