Welcome to Chicago! Have you ever searched for so long for a vacation hotel and then you get there and it's not what you thought it would be?! (the worst!) Well, I did a ton of research prior to our Chicago trip, and I'm SO pleased with my decision to stay at the Pendry Chicago in Downtown- it was everything I expected and more!
I originally came to Chicago for an influencer immersion trip with NOW Foods, and it was the best time, so of course I had to extend the trip and have my husband join me in the city for a few more days!
I have all of the photos to share with you about our stay, and I think you'll love it, if you love a moody vibe paired with excellent service, like I do! I mean, look how beautiful this exterior is! We love a historic building that is a vibe! Give me all the black and gold! And wait until you see the full view!
You know what my favorite tourist activity is? Bike riding! I didn't even realize, but of course the Pendry has bikes available to borrow, and the bell-hop told us the best routes to take, too! (I'm not trying to get run over on Michigan Ave, thanks!) This location is so great -a couple blocks from the Bean, it's on Michigan Ave, 1 block from the river, and of course there is a Garrett Popcorn across the street, so that was easy. ;)
If the exterior alone doesn't have you convinced, now I'll show you the room we stayed in! We originally booked a Tower King room, and the Pendry generously upgraded us to a Tower King Suite, complete with corner views from the 33rd floor - LOVE. Trust, go for the suite!
Also, I'm loving all of the moldings in this suite, because I'm working on adding picture frame molding in my home office makeover, so this was the perfect inspo! The living room and views were fantastic, plenty of room to do my workout in the room, plus a dining room, and beautiful bathroom.
Sunday morning was rainy, which of course, meant room service was the perfect vibe. It was delicious and came up quickly! Adam wasn't in the mood for a full photoshoot or to have his breakfast photographed (lol) but he did let me grab one photo of him, so I'll take it!
Downstairs, we had a little entertainment with a pool table and tv lounge, plus the amazing Venteux restaurant inside the hotel. The restaurant has a cafe side and a restaurant side. Both amazing, both a very different vibe!
This is me outside of the cafe side of Venteux, fresh green vibes.
The cafe is the cutest spot, and a great place to stop in for a quick coffee or casual brunch!
We actually ended up eating at Venteux twice, because it was so good! Once for brunch and once for dinner. The Venteux interior restaurant is moody French brasserie, which I love, and French food is always a winner.
Did I eat most of those mashed potatoes myself? That's going to be a "yes." No regrets ;) Everything was so good! The Pendry also has a rooftop bar, which was fantastic, but somehow I didn't take any photos!
We absolutely had the best stay and would recommend staying at the Pendry to anyone who wants to walk to all of the "sites" and have the best service!
