What a weekend! Each month, I host a brunch for Dallas bloggers and it has quickly become my favorite event to plan. I truly enjoy connecting with women in Dallas who are uniquely pursuing their passion- whether that is food, beauty or fashion, through blogging. It has been such a pleasure to form real-life relationships with talented women after "meeting" them through social media. This month's Dallas Blogger Brunch at Savor is probably my favorite brunch to-date. The guests, the food, and the service all came together perfectly to create a memorable event and provide an atmosphere conducive to forming new friendships while strengthening current ones. Read about my past brunches at some other Dallas favorites: Sissy's, Smoke, Company Cafe, Parigi, Henry's Majestic, and Nordstrom's Bazille. I often get asked how I choose the next restaurant to host Dallas Blogger Brunch, and its quite simple: I have a list of restaurants in my phone that I've been wanting to try, so I just pick one! This month, however, it's a funny story… I didn't even realize it, but a friend of mine is the pastry chef at Savor! She commented on one of my photos months ago and I noticed that she also had her own baking business, so I though it would be a fun idea to collaborate on a baking post; turns out she does not have her own baking business, but Savor does! haha Pink Apron Pastry is in the same restaurant group as Savor and my friend, Julie, is the face of that company (she wears an adorable pink apron!) So long story short, my "fun idea" to collaborate led to hosting brunch at Savor.
These gorgeous watercolor place cards were by Lauren Essl of Blue Eye Brown Eye Calligraphy; she is so talented! Hosting Dallas Blogger Brunch has not only introduced me to bloggers, but also some seriously talented small business owners! As the girls started arriving for brunch, we made introductions and mingled before sitting down. Right away, our server (shout-out to Ginger!) brought carafes of mimosas and began filling our glasses- off to a good start! We started with an appetizer of biscuits and jelly… who doesn't love biscuits?! Seriously, they were so cute and little…and delicious.
As we looked the menu, we continued to talk and get to know each other; everyone raved about the natural light as we took pictures of our place settings (we are bloggers, after all)! It was so hard to decide what to order, but if there is a fancy french toast option on the menu, you can bet that's what I'm going to order, and I was not disappointed by this Lemon Ricotta stuffed masterpiece! I was tempted to go back for brunch on Sunday to order it again!
According to the girls, this adorable Smoked Salmon Quiche was as tasty as it was cute. Thank you, Savor, for this month's Dallas Blogger Brunch. I will definitely be back again soon!
