It's been about 8 years since I was last in Paris, but I always knew that I would go back. For some of you, Paris may seem cliche and touristy, but for me it feels grand and absolutely perfect. For years I have wanted to move to Paris for an extended period of time to simply live and work there, but until I became self-employed, it couldn't be a reality. As soon as I decided to work from home, I knew that Paris was possible so I set a new goal to make it happen and this time the "how" wasn't a big question mark in my head.
I'll be in Paris for a little over a month, living in either the 7th, 8th, or 1st arrondissement. Booking my plane ticket was easy and I found a relatively cheap flight for around $600, but house hunting is proving to be more difficult. Location, location, location - I know! But also....a terrace? View of the Eiffel Tower? Which monument do I want to be closest to? Of course safety and proximity to a metro station are important to me as well. So many things to consider!! I currently have a few good options to choose from, but it's so tough to make a final decision.
Once I arrive in Paris, I'll spend my days exploring, eating macarons in front of the Eiffel Tower, and doing some blogging! Since I won't be officially "working out" like I do in Dallas, I plan to walk everywhere to balance my new diet that will consist mainly of croissants and macarons. Serious. I'll be doing some work for marketing clients and for events that I am planning later this year in Dallas, but will have plenty of time to explore the city. Since it has been a while since I have been to Paris, I would love to hear your recommendations: bakeries, restaurants, favorite views of the city...I'm open to hearing it all!
