It's hard to believe that 2017 is only a few weeks away! Do you have big plans to ring in the new year? I'm hosting the biggest personal party of my life, a 1500-person "black tie" event, and I am so excited! The past few months have been a time of major transition as I have gone from working full-time to being self-employed and freelancing; I never would have taken the leap of faith to quit my job to become an event planner, but it looks like God had other plans for me. All of this started last year when I planned my first "Beats & Bubbly" New Year's Eve party because I didn't have New Year's plans that I was excited about...so why not host my own party, right? Well, after 1000 people bought tickets and showed up last year, I knew that I had to do it again this year, but better!
There are always kinks to work through when you do something for the first time, but I'm so thankful that I have such a fantastic support system of friends and family to encourage me as I make event decisions, work with new vendors, take party risks, and navigate the work/life balance of being self-employed! I knew that Beats & Bubbly would be a success again this year, but it sold out so quickly (with over 300 people on the waitlist!) and I'm beyond thrilled and thankful for everyone's support of this event! I can't wait to ring in the new year at the Perot Museum with friends and have the opportunity to make hundreds of new friends in one night! You can check out BeatsandBubbly.com for more info (but sadly, tickets are no longer available).
I am truly grateful for this season of life and look forward to what 2017 will bring! Happy New Year, my friends!
