Every month, I host Dallas Blogger Brunch to facilitate networking for local fashion, food, and lifestyle bloggers in Dallas, while we enjoy brunch at a local restaurant. This month's brunch was hosted by Pie Tap Pizza Workshop; we had the best morning while their friendly staff served plate after plate of brunch favorites along with innovative breakfast pizzas and desserts!
The Henderson location of Pie Tap was the perfect backdrop for this month's brunch featuring place cards, hand-lettered on colorful agate slices by Scribbles Lettering and a stunning floral runner of greenery and spring blooms by Elise Woods.
The Henderson location of Pie Tap is roomy and bright, with ample parking (which is always a plus in Dallas), and traces of a science lab "theme" with mimosa carafes being served in flasks! A couple of the ladies have already written their own blog posts about brunch featuring more amazing photos- be sure to visit Essentially Amy Lynn and The Hype to see more!
In keeping with tradition, I ordered the french toast at Pie Tap and was so pleased- house sourdough, local honey, vanilla creme fraiche, spiced pecans, seasonal berries, and maple syrup made for an amazing combination! It was delicious and I was so disappointed that I couldn't eat more of it than I did!
A few of the girls ordered pizzas, including the "Egg Florentine Pie" (so good!) and of course we didn't have room for everything on the table, so we had a separate pizza table.
The ladies who attended this month's brunch were such a joy to get to meet for the first time and each of them were so encouraging as we chatted about our blogs and our goals for the future. You can see all of this month's attendees tagged in my Instagram photo. The biscuits and gravy (above) served with breakfast potatoes, and the goat cheese + egg white omelette (below) looked just as good as my french toast!
Pie Tap was so kind to let us sample both of their desserts: this warm Chocolate Blackout Cake as well as their house-made doughnuts with honey and chocolate sauce... both were delicious. I promise I only had one bite, but I wanted to eat this whole piece of chocolate cake (I'll say it again...it was WARM!)!
If you haven't already eaten at Pie Tap, or if you thought they only served pizza, think again and try them for brunch!
