Let's talk MONEY. As in...getting paid for your content creation work! I'm blown away at what I've been asked to do by brands for FREE! I'm talking full-length edited video shoots, lifetime usage rights of images, multiple posts across different channels....uh what?! Do they think we don't need to pay bills?
SO I've compiled a list of my SIX top influencer marketing platforms to apply for and join for PAID partnerships with real and reputable brands.
What are influencer marketing platforms?
Simple. They are essentially databases that match up brands with influencers. Brands who are looking to use influencers as a part of their advertising strategy might work with a marketing/PR agency to find influencers, and/or work with one of these platforms to narrow down their choices of influencers to work with.
For example, years ago I worked on a paid campaign with Old Navy via Collectively. Say Old Navy wanted to work with micro-influencers with under 10k followers, an engagement rate of 3%+ and were single females. Boom. Collectively had the data and could pull options for Old Navy to review and select! (and I was one of them!)
Some of the platforms will email you when they think they have a good fit for you. Others will let you see all of the opportunities and apply directly to each one. I personally *love* being able to apply directly to campaigns because I can really bring an idea to life and show the brand that I'm taking their campaign seriously and treating it like a real ad campaign (because it is!!).
It's April 2021 and I've already DOUBLED my blog income over this time in 2020. Doubled. Part of that is due to my presence on these marketing platforms. But here's the trick: you *still* have to be selective in who you work with and what you say yes to! Your followers know if you do or don't use a product in real life! I know every blogger has an "oops" moment in their past where they agreed to work with someone they should have said no to, but now we know better!
Keep that in mind as you set up your profiles on these six networks! Each one will take about 20 minutes, so set aside some time and knock it out so you can start monetizing!

One big tip is to keep your profile updated on each of the platforms you apply for! Growing your audience, starting a new series, getting a new profile pic...all great reasons to update your profile- you never know what will catch a brand's eye!
