Beats & Bubbly is a New Year's Eve party that encourages FUN while also encouraging guests to celebrate responsibly and behave respectably!
Three years ago I had my annual Halloween house party, but that year was different than years past...IT WAS HUGE! People were practically spilling out of my house! The party was fun, but I wasn't giving away Macbooks as party favors or anything, and I don't think I have THAT many friends, so why was it so packed?!? Turns out, my community, largely comprised of young professionals who go to my church and a few other area churches, was desperate for a a cool place to party that wasn't a bar or sketchy night club. I've been hosting theme parties and holiday events at my house for the past 7 years, so my party planning reputation definitely wasn't created over night (Rome wasn't built in a day!), but that Halloween party made me see that I could do something bigger than just house parties.
After much discussion with my friend and DJ, he convinced me that the only thing better than the Halloween party would be a New Year's Eve party. I agreed to plan one, but wasn't on board with having it at my house! Even if your friends are responsible, house parties with over 200 guests usually don't end well. I started my planning and reached out to a contact who operated his business out of a warehouse; I told him my grand plan to have a NYE party and make a donation to a local nonprofit- he was in, on one condition: I had to donate to the charity of his choice... done! Beats & Bubbly was born in 2015 and I threw my first MAJOR event; plenty of things went wrong along the way, and I learned a thing or two and ended up with a huge venue full of 1000+ friends to ring in the new year. That party helped me land a new job in Event Marketing, and gave me the confidence I needed to plan more and bigger events.
Fast forward to 2017 and I've been self-employed full-time for one year now (hooray!) and I haven't had to eat Ramen once or give up my daily coffee! The reason I first started Beats & Bubbly in 2015 still holds true- young professionals in the Christian community want a safe and fun place to celebrate with friends, and I'm happy to provide it! Beats & Bubbly 2016 was at the Perot Museum and was a huge hit- we danced the night away with the dinosaurs and had a great time. I'm so thankful to my friends who have helped support me and these events over the last few years and can't wait for the next one.
I posted earlier this week on Instagram and am excited to announce that this year we will be counting down at The Bomb Factory!! We'll dance, take TONS of photos, and countdown with our friends underneath a gigantic disco ball, and I'm pretty excited!
[Post Update] The 2018 New Year's Eve celebration will be held at the Perot Museum once again and I cannot wait! Tickets launch soon on BeatsandBubbly.com. Follow @beatsandbubbly on Instagram for updates!
