Workouts are my favorite way to start the day! I'm self-employed and work from home most days, so it's easy to fall into the trap of sleeping in and not utilizing my morning hours! One of my 2020 goals is to go to bed by 10:00pm and wake up at 6:00am everyday and reset my internal clock to become a morning person. Working out in the morning is an easy way to keep myself accountable to getting up on time (even though I've missed my fair share of morning classes thanks to the snooze button!).
My fitness goals are pretty straight forward- I want to be healthy, strong, and fit in my jeans! Ha! That sounds great, but it's tough to be consistent when you don't enjoy your workout or aren't motivated to hit the gym alone. That's why I love StudioHop. It's a monthly membership that gives me access to hundreds of workout studios in Dallas- from weights to yoga to spin class, I can do it all with StudioHop, so I never get bored.
I've been a member for years, (I was one of their first members in Dallas!), but it's been a while since I shared a fitness post aside from sharing my daily workouts on Instagram. I'll share a few of my favorite studios below and share what my fitness plans are for 2020. Of course, I would love for you to try StudioHop for yourself- get 20% off your first month with code RHONDA20. (I don't receive any compensation if you use my code; it's just a treat for you!).
I try to lay low on Sunday nights and get ready for the week ahead. For me, that includes booking my workouts. I'm only a few weeks into my 6:00am wake up time routine, so I'm not sure that I would still be able to get out of bed if I didn't already have a workout booked ahead of time. With StudioHop, you can book out 7 workouts in advance- just enough for a full week of workouts and a couple recovery yoga sessions.
Each week, I try to incorporate 3 strength workouts and three toning/cardio workouts. Usually my strength days do include cardio bursts, depending on the studio that I go to. With summer coming up, I definitely want to make sure I'm getting enough cardio in my routine.
StudioHop has an app that makes it easy to book workouts on the go. You can search by timeframe, type of activity, or type in the name of the studio or class you are looking for. Lately, I've been working out between 6-7am, so that helps me narrow down my search.
There are other monthly memberships available, but I love that StudioHop is a local company! Owner, Natalie, has been active in the Dallas fitness community for years and it's always fun to see her out and about at classes! I also love paying one monthly rate and being able to book all of my classes, as opposed to a "credits" system used by other companies. I have the Prime + Unlimited membership, so I can visit all of the highest rated studios and workout more than 20 times per month. Other companies make you purchase more credits and only roll over a certain number of your credits if you don't use them - lame.
Lately I've been loving strength workouts at Evolve and Class Studios, pilates at Session Pilates, spin at Lync Cycling, yoga at City Yoga, and a few classes to mix things up like Sculpt at Class Studios, and boxing at Vital Fitness. I love to try new studios, and I'm trying to stick to my morning workout routine, so it's a great way to make a few new friends when you see the same people at classes each week.
If you want to add some spice to your workout routine, definitely try StudioHop and use code RHONDA20 for 20% off your first month!
